Hi, I’m Gabriel.

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor based in Florida, offering online therapy to adults and older adolescents. I work with people navigating anxiety, stress, difficult life transitions, and the kind of stuck feeling that can be hard to name but is very real. My goal is to offer a space that is steady, honest, and genuinely useful.

I believe that feeling heard is the starting point for most change. Whether you are dealing with something specific or simply feeling like something is off, I am here to help you figure it out.

How I Work

Practical, Collaborative, and Grounded

My approach to therapy is practical and collaborative. I do not have a single rigid method. Instead, I draw on evidence-based frameworks that fit the person in front of me, including cognitive-behavioral approaches, acceptance-based strategies, and mindfulness-informed techniques.

I think of therapy as an active process. We explore what is getting in the way, build clarity about patterns and responses, and work toward what actually matters to you. I take your goals seriously and stay curious about what is driving them.

Sessions are structured enough to feel productive and open enough to go where they need to go. I tend to be direct without being prescriptive, and I am not here to tell you what to do. I am here to help you think more clearly and move with more intention.

Why I Work This Way

Many people arrive in therapy already working hard to solve the problem. They have reflected, pushed through, gathered advice, or tried to reason themselves out of what they feel. When that has not worked, more generic advice can feel discouraging. I start by helping you understand the pattern: what your mind is trying to protect you from, what your body has learned to anticipate, and what keeps the cycle going. From there, we can choose changes that are specific enough to use in real life.

Understand Before Fixing

We make the problem less confusing before deciding what should change.

Mind and Body Together

Thoughts, emotions, physical responses, habits, and relationships all belong in the same picture.

Useful Beyond the Session

The work should help you respond differently when real life is happening, not only make sense in the therapy room.

A Bit of Background

I have been working in mental health for several years, supporting individuals through anxiety, trauma, life transitions, relationship stress, and questions of identity and meaning. I completed my training at Barry University, where I earned a Master of Science in Counseling, and I hold a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Religious Studies from Florida International University.

Over time I have developed an interest in the relationship between the mind and body, and how physical sensations, stress responses, and lived experience all show up together in a person’s life. This informs how I listen and how I work, though psychotherapy remains the foundation of everything I do.

I am licensed in Florida and see clients online only. I work with adults and older adolescents across the state.
