CE4Less Review: Is the Unlimited Plan Worth It?
CE4Less offers a relatively affordable way to complete continuing education and keep learning as a clinician. Here is what the Unlimited plan includes, what it does not include, and what therapists should verify before joining.
By Gabriel Benaim, LMHC | Last reviewed July 29, 2026

My short answer
For many therapists who are comfortable with independent, text-based learning, the CE4Less Unlimited plan looks like a good value. Continuing education is a recurring part of maintaining a clinical license, and it is also one of the ways we keep developing beyond graduate school. A plan that combines broad course access with a manageable price can serve both purposes.
The important qualification is that the standard Unlimited plan focuses on text-based courses. Therapists who need live hours, prefer interactive teaching, or have very specific state requirements should look carefully at the course format and approvals before buying. The lowest price is not useful if the courses do not satisfy your license.
CE4Less Unlimited at a glance
- My verdict: A strong value for clinicians who can use text-based, self-paced courses
- Current listed price: $89.99 for one year, $154.99 for two years, or $699.99 for lifetime access
- My referral offer: Eligible clinicians receive 20% off an Unlimited plan
- Course access: More than 350 text-based courses, with new courses added
- Convenience: 24/7 access, immediate certificates, and CE Broker reporting where required
- Main limitation: Live and video-based learning require the separate Unlimited + Live plan
- Most important caution: Your licensing board remains the final authority on accepted credit
What the CE4Less Unlimited plan includes
CE4Less currently describes its standard Unlimited plan as access to more than 350 text-based courses. Members receive 24/7 access on their devices, access to newly added courses, immediate completion certificates, renewal reminders, and automatic CE Broker reporting where reporting is required.
The company also states that its broader library represents more than 1,000 continuing education hours across over 200 courses. Those numbers describe the overall catalog and can change as courses are added, updated, or retired. The practical question is not simply how large the library is. It is whether the courses relevant to your profession, state, and renewal period are included and approved.
How much does CE4Less Unlimited cost?
As of July 29, 2026, CE4Less lists the following standard Unlimited options:
- One year: $89.99
- Two years: $154.99
- Lifetime: $699.99
My referral link currently provides eligible clinicians with 20% off an Unlimited plan. At the prices listed above, that would reduce the one-year plan to approximately $71.99, the two-year plan to approximately $123.99, and lifetime access to approximately $559.99, if the discount applies at checkout. Prices, eligibility, and program terms can change, so use the checkout total rather than this article as the final price.
Unlimited products renew until canceled. CE4Less says you may cancel at any time, and its FAQ currently describes a 90-day refund period for an Unlimited purchase if you try a course and do not like it. Read the current renewal and refund terms before purchasing.
Why the Unlimited plan may be worth it
It can make recurring CE costs more predictable
Licensure requirements return every renewal cycle. Paying one price for a large set of eligible courses can be simpler than purchasing each course separately, especially for clinicians who need several hours or want to explore topics beyond the minimum requirement. The two-year option may be particularly practical when it aligns with a therapist’s renewal schedule.
It supports learning beyond minimum compliance
Continuing education is not only a licensing task. It can help clinicians revisit areas where training feels thin, learn about populations they serve, and stay current as standards and evidence evolve. Unlimited access lowers the pressure to choose only the exact number of hours needed for renewal.
The self-paced format is flexible
Text-based courses can be completed around a clinical schedule without reserving a specific webinar time. Certificates are available immediately after successful completion, and CE4Less says each test can be attempted up to three times. That format may appeal to clinicians who learn well by reading and want control over their pace.
What therapists should know before buying
The standard plan is primarily text-based
The $89.99 yearly plan is not the same as CE4Less’s Unlimited + Live plan. Live interactive webinars and on-demand video courses are provided through its sister organization, CEU Creations, under a separate plan currently listed at $249.99 per year. If your board requires synchronous or live hours, the standard Unlimited plan may not cover the full requirement.
Approval is profession, state, and course specific
CE4Less lists approvals that include APA, ASWB ACE, NAADAC, NBCC, and several state boards. It is also approved by the Florida Board of Clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, and Mental Health Counseling, which is directly relevant to me as a Florida LMHC. However, an approved provider does not mean every course meets every requirement for every license. Boards can impose limits on home-study hours, require specific subjects, or distinguish live from asynchronous learning.
A large catalog does not guarantee the exact course you need
Before paying, search for required topics such as ethics, laws and rules, domestic violence, medical errors, or other state-specific subjects. Confirm that the course is current, available during your access period, approved for your credential, and offered in the required format. Course availability and expiration can change.
The best learning format is personal
Some clinicians retain information well through independent reading. Others benefit more from discussion, demonstrations, case examples, or the accountability of a scheduled training. A low-cost plan is only a strong value if its format supports meaningful learning rather than rushed completion.
Who CE4Less Unlimited may fit best
It may be a strong fit if you:
- Need several self-paced CE hours
- Learn well through reading
- Want to explore more than the minimum required topics
- Value flexible access around a busy caseload
- Have confirmed that the relevant courses meet your board’s rules
- Want predictable CE spending for one or two years
It may be less useful if you:
- Need mostly live or synchronous hours
- Prefer video, discussion, or instructor interaction
- Need only one inexpensive course
- Cannot find your required state-specific topics
- Have a board that limits distance or home-study credit
- Are likely to subscribe and forget the renewal date
My pre-purchase checklist
- Open your licensing board’s current continuing education rules.
- List the total hours, required topics, live-hour minimums, and reporting deadlines that apply to you.
- Use the CE4Less state and profession pages, then verify each important requirement with the board itself.
- Search the current course catalog for the specific subjects and formats you need.
- Compare one-year, two-year, and live-plan pricing against your actual renewal timeline.
- Save your receipt, certificates, course details, and renewal date in your professional records.
My verdict
The CE4Less Unlimited plan is worth considering for therapists who need multiple continuing education hours and are comfortable with text-based, self-paced study. The current pricing is reasonable for broad access, and the 20% referral discount makes the value stronger.
I would not purchase it based on price alone. First confirm that the catalog contains the courses and formats your board accepts. If it does, the plan can turn a recurring licensure expense into an opportunity to continue learning across the year.
